Most of us have seen or met people with short temper in our life and we avoid making them upset because the result could be bad.
“When something upsets you, how do you handle that?”
People with short temper face problems in life. When these people get frustrated, they scream, sometimes throw things, punch walls or say something that hurts people’s feelings however when they calm down “they regret what all happened”.
Believe me, you don’t want to be that person where people tend to leave you because of your anger. Everything happens within seconds and before you calm down, you will see your loved ones leaving you forever. Your mind gets freeze when you are in danger, you are not able to analyze situations and the intentions of other people at that time and tend to say words that destroy relations. No one is perfect to control anger, the ability to keep a check on anger makes the difference. You must think twice before reacting while you are angry, it’s a continuous practice that helps you think at the time you are frustrated.
Let’s see what all can help us –
-
Recognize the warnings – when you’re angry, your heart rate rises, and you breathe faster
-
Have a “time-out” – avoid responding, take a break immediately
-
Catch your breath – try to slow your breathing, it will help you think clearly
-
Exercise Regularly – this helps the release of calming chemicals like dopamine & serotonin into our body
-
Find some quiet time – practice relaxation
-
Express your emotions – don’t keep things inside, it builds frustration
“Your inability to handle situations calmly is doing more damage than you realize”
